High Point University is a small liberal arts college in High Point, North Carolina located 15 miles from both Winston Salem and Greensboro, and 80 miles from Raleigh-Durham.  The city of High Point is known as the ‘furniture capital of the world’ and the school’s lavish furnishings reflect the generosity of local businesses. The campus sits on 200 beautifully landscaped acres complete with fountains, statues and a promenade.

3,248 undergraduates currently attend High Point with mid-50% SAT scores ranging from 1450 – 1760 and an ACT composite score of 20-25.  The university has been steadily moving up the rankings and is now ranked as one of the top regional colleges in the south.

High Point President, Dr. Quebein, is a motivational speaker and graduate of High Point College.  He has been extremely successful in raising money and plans to spend $2.1 billion during the next 10 years,  $600 million of which is earmarked for academics.

Strong majors include communications, business and education.  A new major in Games and Interactive Media Design is being offered for students interested in a career the commercial game industry. Taking advantage of the furniture mart, a home furnishing marketing degree is also offered.  The business school is in the process of obtaining its AACSB Accreditation, has a trading floor, and an entrepreneurial program where student ideas may be funded for up to one million dollars.

The university cost is all-inclusive and includes access to many activities and amenities such as an amazing fitness facility and video gaming room, free breakfast on the promenade, a campus concierge, 5-star steak house, movie theater and a sports grille.
